HTML5 have some major new tags that promises for this new web trend.
Some of the notable html 5 tags are canvas, mouse drag events, article and many.
But still I miss some of my favourite old html tags. I usually use this tags when I learnt web designing. I like to share my experience with this removed html tags.
- center
- applet
- big
- font
- frame & frameset (noframes too)
- strike
- u
Center Tag
Oh no, I still feel bad to forget this tag. At my schooling days, I usually do fun with this center tag to align any content at center of the page. Even now I use this tag sometimes.
Applet
SUN gone to Oracle. At the same time the applet tag in which I used to run java applets also gone with html4 itself. But we can use java applets by using object code. Badly many schools and colleges are using applets for learning java applets hardly.
U – Underline & S – Strike Tag
These are learners tag at the very beginning stage and I still use this tags at many places. But in HTML 5 we have to use CSS. No easy cut or short cut methods to do so.
Font Tag
Same like other tags These are some tags used to teach intermediate html learners. But many shifted to use CSS instead of font in that past few years gradually.
And some more html4 tags too removed – frames, noframes, tt etc…
What HTML5 tells the new comers in Web Designing & Development ?
The changes in html 5 clearly emphasizes the importance of CSS in your career towards web design and development.
So get ready to learn and rule the html 5.
